Data Streams and Oracles
ONyc relies on secure, verifiable data streams to support accurate pricing, transparency, and reliable integration across DeFi. Oracles are a core component of the system, maintaining alignment between ONyc’s onchain price, NAV, and underlying real-world performance.
These data streams underpin secondary market pricing, lending and borrowing, leverage strategies, and protocol-level risk management across the ecosystem.
Oracles
ONyc integrates multiple oracle providers to deliver market pricing and reference data onchain. Each oracle serves a distinct role based on the type of data provided and how it is consumed by DeFi protocols, enabling accurate valuation, composability, and risk controls across the OnRe ecosystem.
Pyth
Pyth is used for ONyc market pricing. Pyth aggregates real-time price data from active trading venues and publishes low-latency price feeds onchain. These feeds are referenced by DeFi protocols for trading, lending, leverage, and liquidation logic, ensuring ONyc is priced based on live market conditions.
Chainlink
Chainlink is used for ONyc NAV and structured reference data. Chainlink enables the secure publication of offchain NAV calculations and related reference values onchain, providing a consistent anchor for valuation, accounting, and risk management across protocols.
